I’ve been lucky enough to work with the Family Group Conferencing team of the City of Doncaster Council on numerous occasions. I was initially contacted to produce an animation detailing one individual’s experience of Lifelong Links, an innovative approach developed by Family Rights Group to ensure children in care, or care leavers, have a support network that they can rely on. Voiceovers for the animation were provided by various members of the Family Group Conference/Lifelong Links team, as well as some young people who had previously been involved with Lifelong Links, and kindly volunteered their voices.
Following the creation of the above animation, a few employees of Doncaster Council reached out again. This time, they initially requested the creation of a poster for a menopause support network that was being initiated by some members of the Council. It was essential for the design to feel supportive and welcoming to all – regardless of age or gender – as the menopause affects everyone, whether directly or indirectly. After creating the initial poster, I’ve since designed other products based around this identity, including a roller banner, button badges, a Microsoft Teams background, and presentation slides encompassing relevant data and research.
